Project Description

The Horner Park Ecosystem Restoration project consisted of clearing and regarding approximately 2600 feet of riverbank along the Chicago River to provide a wetland shelf and stream bank habitat. Along with cobble stone venal pool habitats installation, native plantings have been incorporated throughout the project as a major portion of the ecosystem restoration. Foundation Mechanics is proud to have participated in this endeavor to contribute to the City of Chicago’s gentrification and preservation of natural resources.
