FM was joined by the Mayor of Waukegan, Sam Cunningham; US Army Col. Reisinger and the US Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District for the ribbon cutting ceremony and official grand opening of the south pier!

A special thank you to our FM team and our building partners Lakes and Rivers Contracting and Clausen Structures for completing this project two months ahead of schedule – just in time for residents and fisherman to enjoy it before the end of summer!

Repairs included rehabilitating approx. 800 ft of pier surface by placing new steel plates and capping with concrete over the existing pier and adding 12 new access ladders. The new pier surface will provide safe access for Waukegan residents and fisherman on the most popular pier in Waukegan.
