Tollway Maintenance Facility Access Road

Foundation Mechanics constructed a full-depth asphalt exit and entrance ramp for tollway personnel to access the new M8 Maintenance Facility in Aurora, Illinois. We excavated 17,000 CY of material for this project and performed non-special waste disposal and in-situ treatment of lead-contaminated soils. We also constructed an underground detention vault, concrete retaining walls, a soldier pile retaining wall with a concrete face, and concrete barriers.

We accelerated this contract to expedite winter use for tollway maintenance staff.

Foundation Mechanics implemented cold-weather concrete plans for 230 CY of structural concrete and 400 CY of concrete barriers placed in winter conditions.
