Overview

Foundation Mechanics crews cleared trees from an acre of undeveloped land in the Three Oaks Recreation Area at Crystal Lake. Then, we developed a service entrance by importing and placing 1,000 CY of clay material. Our trail work on this project included an 8-foot rip rap bench in the water, 6,000 tons of rip rap slope, and 5,000 tons of base course.

Challenges

The existing conditions at the Three Oaks Recreation Area varied from the plans, forcing us to slightly alter our project scope.

Solutions

Foundation Mechanics facilitated grade changes in collaboration with the City of Crystal Lake to accommodate the city’s design aesthetic.
